Revital Raviv - Soprano

Soprano Revital Raviv performs widely on Israeli concert stages in music festivals and concert series. Joining forces with leading orchestras and ensembles such as The Jerusalem Camerata, Barrocade Ensemble, Tel Aviv Soloists, Netanya Kibutzim Chamber Orchestra, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, The Israeli Symphony Rishon Le’Zion, Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, and others. She has appeared in the Israel Festival, Abu Gosh Vocal Music Festival, Kfar Blume Chamber Music Festival, The Holiday of Holidays in Haifa, to be mentioned.

Revital has a special passion to Early Opera and has taken the roles of Galathea in Handel’s Acis
and Galathea, Venus in ‘The Judgement of Paris’ by D. Purcell and John’s Blow ‘Venus and Adonis’. Eurydice in Monteverdi’s ‘L’orfeo’ and Gluck’s ‘Orfeo and Eurydice’. Serpina from ‘La Serva Padrona’ by Pergolesi. Belinda and varies roles from Purcell ‘Dido and Aneas’ . In Mozart operas she sang the roles of Pamina, Zerlina and Bastien.

On the concert stage, Raviv sang the solo parts in major works by Bach, Handel, Hayden, Mozart, Pergolesi, Vivaldi, Mendelssohn, Faure, Mahler and Poulenc with leading choirs in Israel. International collaborations include concerts with Tourbillion Ensemble, Cezck Republic, with music from Wien 1790; Musicians of the Globe; and the New London Concert form the UK joining their world tours of Jonathan Miller’s acclaimed productions of L’Ofeo and Dido and Aneas. Duo Embouchure from Argentina with ‘Italian Essenes’. She recorded Yiddish songs with the Lieder theatre for Engel Lund’s Book of Folk Song CD. 

Revital has dedicated the past few years to chamber music and creating new and exciting crossover recitals. Along side classic repertoire she combined Classics from Contemporary Music, Folk music, and Traditional repertoire, performing them acoustically with fresh interpretations; Connecting new audiences to classical concerts. Joining her on stage are established artists from Israel and abroad. Raviv’s passion for contemporary classical music resulted in collaboration with Israeli composers such as Arye Levanon, Talia Amar, Hanna Ajishavili, Boaz Ben Moshe, Shay Cohen, Eyal Batt, Moshe Zorman, and singer song writers Yoni Rechter.

Alongside her singing career Revital is a dedicated music educator, working with children, youth, and adults promoting music appreciation and healthy singing. A former member of the Israeli Opera Young Artist program Revital is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance and the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London.
